My World (2009)
My World, Justin Bieber's first EP, was released on November 17, 2009.
One Time, his debut single, hit the radio just as Bieber was recording his debut album. The song peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and later at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. During the fall of 2009, it achieved success in international markets: the song went platinum in Canada and the United States, d gold in Australia and New Zealand.
The second single released was One Less Lonely Girl while two more singles were released on iTunes: Love me and Favorite girl.
One Less Lonely Girl it was subsequently played on the radio and entered the Top 15 in Canada and the United States. The EP was also certified platinum in the US and double platinum in Canada and the UK. To promote the record, he performed several live shows, such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America and It's On with Alexa Chung.
My World 2.0 (2010)
Baby, the lead single from the album My World 2.0 released in January 2010, became Justin's biggest hit, reaching the Top 10 in seven countries and the Top 5 in the United States. Two more singles Never Let You Go e U Smile, entered the US top 30 and Canada top 20. The album received generally favorable reviews.
Justin debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, becoming the youngest male singer to break Stevie Wonder's 1963 record.
My World 2.0 debuted at number one on the Canadian Albums Chart, Irish Albums Chart, Australian Albums Chart and New Zealand Albums Chart and reached the Top 10 in fifteen other countries.
To promote the album, Bieber appeared on live shows, including The View, the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards and The Late Show with David Letterman.
Justin collaborated with Sean Kingston on the song Eenie Meenie (later featured in My World 2.0), reaching the top 10 in the UK and Australia, and the top 20 in other world markets.
Somebody to Love, the second single from the album, was released in April 2010, along with a remix recorded with Usher.
On June 23, 2010 he began his promotional tour, the My World Tour, which departed from Hartford.
In July 2010, Justin Bieber was listed as the most wanted celebrity on the web. In the same month, the video clip of Baby exceeded that of Bad Romanceby Lady Gaga, making it YouTube's most viewed and most despised video of 2010.
In July 2010, Justin began recording his second album in New York.
In October 2010 he announced the publication of My Worlds Acoustic, an acoustic album containing all the songs of My World 2.0 reinterpreted in an acoustic key and with the addition of an unreleased song, entitled Pray.
On February 11, 2011, the 3D concert film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.
The film was accompanied by a new EP, Never Say Never: The Remixes, published on February 14, 2011.
In June 2011, Bieber entered the Forbes list of highest-paid celebrities under 30 at number two.
On August 28, 2011, it won the title of "Best Male Video" at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
Under the Mistletoe e Believe (2011)
In 2011 Justin Bieber recorded his new album Believe, anticipated on November 1 by the Christmas album Under the Mistletoe, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 selling 210,000 copies in its first week of release. On March 26, 2012 the first single from Believe was released: Boyfriend, produced by Mike Posner. Also in 2012, Justin collaborated with Far East Movement on the single Live My Life. In May 2012, Forbes ranked him third on their list of the 100 richest and most powerful celebrities in the world, as Bieber earned $55 million in the last year.
In July 2012, it was announced that his songs All Around The World and Believe would be part of the soundtrack of the London Olympics of the same year.
Also in 2012, he was awarded several times at the Teen Choice Awards: in fact, he won in the categories "Best Male Artist", "Best Song by a Male Artist" for Boyfriend, “Best Male Artist of the Summer” and “Best Male Style Icon”.
In October 2012, Justin staged a fake robbery as a publicity stunt to launch Beauty and a Beat, his new single in collaboration with Nicki Minaj, whose music video is the most watched in the shortest time since its launch on VEVO and YouTube.
Justin Bieber during the Ellen DeGeneres program announced that a new album entitled Believe Acoustic would be released in January 2013, containing ten tracks: seven acoustic versions of songs already present on Believe, one bonus track, and two unreleased acoustic songs.
Journals (2013)
Every Monday, from October 7 until December 9, 2013, Justin released a different promotional single for his album which was to be released in the first half of 2014. The singles, called #MUSICMONDAYS, are titled Heartbreaker, All That Matters, Hold Tight, Recovery, Bad Day, All Bad, PYD (feat. R. Kelly), Roller Coaster, Change Me and Confident (feat. Chance the Rapper). At the end of the ten Mondays, Justin announced for December 23 of the same year, the release of a collection called Journals containing the 10 promotional singles and 6 unreleased tracks with artists such as Big Sean, Lil Wayne and Future, the music video of All That Matters, the trailer for Believe and a video of Justin in Guatemala for Pencils of Promise. The previously unreleased Journals tracks are: One Life, Backpack, What's Hatnin, Swap It Out, Memphis and Flatline (free release on the US App Store).
On December 25, 2013, the second biopic was released - Justin Bieber's Believe.
Purpose (2015)
On August 28, 2015, Justin posted What Do You Mean?, the first single from the album Purpose. The single debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100: Justin was the youngest artist to debut at number one in just five minutes, earning him a Guinness World Record.
On October 22, the second single was released, Sorry, which after 8 non-consecutive weeks at #2, went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Justin's second song to do so.
Also the third single, Love yourself, came in first place in the standings; thus Bieber became the second male artist to have three songs from the same album at No. 1, after Justin Timberlake.
Company was the fourth single, released on March 8, 2016.
Purpose was released on November 13, 2015 and was the fourth best-selling album worldwide in 2015, with 3.1 million copies sold.
On March 9, 2016, the Purpose World Tour began in Seattle, ending on June 24, 2017 with the cancellation of the remaining legs due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Changes (2020)
On April 21, 2019, Justin Bieber, in a concert with his friend Ariana Grande, communicated to his fans that a new album would be released soon. Through a post on Instagram, the Canadian singer confirms that 2020 would have been the year of his new album and, on December 24, 2019, he published the official trailer on YouTube complete with tour dates.
On 3 January 2020 the single Yummy, as a preview of the album, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
February 7 was the turn of the second extract, Intentions, made in collaboration with rapper Quavo.
On February 14, 2020, the entire album was released, entitled Changes, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making Justin the youngest artist with seven albums at the top of the chart, surpassing Elvis Presley's record.
On January 27 2020 a docu-series is released on YouTube, Justin Bieber: Seasons, consisting of 10 episodes showing the entire process of making the album.
Justice (2021)
On September 18, 2020 Justin collaborates again with Chance the Rapper in the song Holy, as first single from Justice.
On October 16, 2020 the second single was released in collaboration with Benny Blanco, Lonely, which will enter radio rotation on US mainstream stations starting October 20.
The Canadian artist performed in an exclusive live stream show, on the night between December 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021, the Justin Bieber NYE Live. In the same concert he presented the third single: Anyone.
On February 26, 2021, Justin announced on Instagram that his sixth album, titled Justice, would be released on March 19, 2021.
In parallel with the announcement of the release date, the singer also spoke about the meaning of the new recording project:
“At a time when there are so many things wrong with this wounded planet, we all want justice and healing for humanity. I made this album with the aim of making music that could bring comfort and create songs that people could relate to and connect with to feel less alone. Suffering, injustice, and pain can make people feel powerless. Music is a good way to remind each other that we are not alone. Music can be a way to relate to others and to connect with one another."
On March 5, 2021, the fourth single of the album is released: Hold On.
On the album release day, the fifth single, Peaches, which debuts at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 30, 2021. Thanks to Peaches, Justin becomes the youngest artist to have 8 No. 1 albums on the US chart.
The album features collaborations with Khalid, Chance the Rapper, Kid Laroi, Dominic Fike, Daniel Caesar, Giveon, Beam, Burna Boy, Benny Blanco and TroyBoi.
Freedom (2021)
On April 4, 2021, the day of Easter, Justin surprisingly releases a gospel EP titled Freedom, containing 6 tracks.
